"TERROR" creeps into KNUST




A level 200 female student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology has been stabbed by her roommate and is currently on admission at the KNUST Hospital in Kumasi.

According to a student, Daniel Edelah, the two who are in the Republic Hall were allegedly fighting over a boy when one was stabbed in the process. According to Edelah, another roommate of the two girls said they also fought or had a disagreement over a laptop.

Akosua Ahiador, a second year student of the university is said to be receiving treatment at the KNUST hospital authorities have confirmed.

                                                However, the suspect also a level 200 student is said to be currently on the 
                                                 run.

Meanwhile, the university authorities say they are aware of the incident and KNUST police have also confirmed the matter and both have begun investigating the issue. However the school authorities are said to have also been tight-lipped on the matter.



In other news, five armed robbers on Thursday evening attacked students at KNUST campus, injuring one person.

The masked-robbers first attacked attendants and shoppers at a super market at Unity Hall, one of the students' halls of residence on campus, and made away with an unspecified amount of money.

In the process, a shop attendant whose name was given only as Esi is said to have been shot in the head by the robbers. She has been transferred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital from the University hospital where she was first sent to. She is said to be in stable condition, having sustained not too deep wounds in the face. Luckily for her, the pellets did not penetrate.

The incident comes less than a week after the female student stabbed her colleague.
